The Swatch x Omega Bioceramic Moonswatch Mission to Neptune SO33N100 was born from the collaboration between two Swiss watchmaking giants, Swatch and Omega. This joint project, launched in 2022, made waves in the watch world by offering an accessible reinterpretation of the Speedmaster in a Bioceramic case — a composite material blending ceramic with bio-sourced materials. The Mission to Neptune stands out through its chromatic identity directly inspired by the planet Neptune.
The dial and bracelet adopt a deep and intense blue, evoking the cold and mysterious hues of the eighth planet in our solar system. The 42 mm Bioceramic case faithfully recreates the contours of the Speedmaster, featuring its tachymetric bezel, applied indices, and tricompax dial with three subdials. The matte texture of the bracelet subtly contrasts with the silvered details of the case. Swatch x Audemars Piguet watches also explore this territory of premium watchmaking collaborations, such as the Royal Pop Blaue Acht.
