Where the original "Sunset" relied on a red and orange gradient mesh with wavy black overlays, this version completely inverts the formula. Nike offers here a black mesh base, enhanced with a neon yellow gradient that intensifies on the heel.
The color transition starts with a striking yellow at the heel level and progressively blends towards black on the front of the shoe. The characteristic wavy overlays of the Air Max Plus — direct heritage from Christian Tresser's 1998 design — remain present and emphasize the model's aggressive silhouette. The visible translucent sole showcases the integrated Air Max unit.
