The Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble Slate marks the return of a historic colorway, worn only three times in thirty years of the model's existence. Nike brings back the original Air unit here, more voluminous than on contemporary versions, alongside a blue gradient that has endured across decades without losing its impact. Lake Blue, French Blue and Obsidian layer across this silhouette designed in 1995 by Sergio Lozano.
The blue gradient progresses from lightest to darkest as it moves up towards the collar, in keeping with the mesh and suede overlays tradition of the Air Max 95. The wavy panels, inspired by human muscle anatomy, remain faithful to the original design. The large visible Air bubble at the rear constitutes the distinctive detail of this "Big Bubble" version.
