The Nike Air Max 90 Evolution of Icons pays tribute to the silhouettes that shaped Nike's history. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the original 1990 Air Max 90 already drew inspiration from the 1987 Air Max 1 and the 1989 Air Max Light. This EOI model takes this dialogue further by layering visual references from multiple generations of the line.
The upper blends distinctive elements from different iterations of the silhouette, notably the "Infrared" eyelets from the original model and overlays that play with the historical graphic codes of the shoe. The colour-blocked construction and suede and mesh finishes stay true to the DNA of the Nike Air Max 90. Each zone of the shoe tells a specific chapter in the model's evolution.
