The Nike Air Liquid Max Fragment Black is born from the collaboration between Nike and Hiroshi Fujiwara, founder of Fragment Design. This experimental model embraces the codes of the renowned Japanese designer, an emblematic figure of streetwear, in an entirely black iteration that marks a new chapter in the evolution of the Air Liquid Max silhouette.
The mesh upper features a three-layered textured print that oscillates between different shades of Black. Chrome Swooshes contrast with this monochrome base, while a subtle nanoprint evokes the poison dart frog, a reference to this amphibian's colour-coded warning system. This tactile approach sets this collaboration apart from previous iterations of the model.
This Fragment edition follows Nike's line of experimental projects, exploring new textures and finishes. The model perfectly illustrates the minimalist and technical approach characteristic of collaborations between the Beaverton-based brand and the Tokyo design studio.
