Stranger Things x Nike

The Stranger Things x Nike collaboration represents one of the most successful partnerships between a Netflix series and the Beaverton-based brand. This capsule collection, launched alongside the release of the series seasons, brings the retro-nostalgic aesthetic of the 1980s into the contemporary sneaker universe.

At Geturbrick, we offer the entire collection now sold out everywhere else, with our authentication process guaranteeing the authenticity of each pair.

The Origins of the Collaboration

The partnership between Netflix and Nike for Stranger Things was part of an unprecedented cross-media marketing approach. The series, rooted in 1980s Indiana, provided the perfect backdrop to reinterpret iconic Nike silhouettes from that decade.

The strategy was to create exclusive colorways on retro models, with each pair telling part of the series' story. This narrative approach to sneaker design paved the way for many other entertainment x sportswear collaborations.

The Hawkins High School Aesthetic

Each model in the collection draws from the series' iconography: school uniform colors, references to main characters, and subtle nods to the supernatural elements of the plot. This attention to detail transforms each pair into a collectible object in its own right.

The Flagship Models of the Collection

The Nike Air Foamposite One Stranger Things is undoubtedly the most sought-after piece from this collaboration. Its Foamposite construction, a cutting-edge material by definition, contrasts with the series' retro aesthetic, creating a fascinating visual paradox. Available with us, this Nike Air Foamposite One Stranger Things features an exclusive colorway unavailable elsewhere.

The Air Max 1 "Steve Harrington" pays homage to the series' iconic character. This Nike Air Max 1 87 Stranger Things Steve Harrington revisits the 1987 OG silhouette with character-specific details, particularly on the upper and colorway.

The Nike Field General High Stranger Things draws from Nike's American football heritage, a central sport in Hawkins' universe. This high-top silhouette offers a different approach to sneaker storytelling.

The Dunk Low in the Stranger Things Universe

The Nike Dunk Low Stranger Things Phantom fits perfectly into the current enthusiasm for Nike Dunk. Its "Phantom" colorway evokes the creatures of the Upside Down while maintaining the streetwear DNA of the silhouette.

Beyond Sneakers: The Streetwear

The collaboration extends beyond sneakers. The Hoodie x Stranger Things NRG Club perfectly complements the pairs, creating cohesive looks inspired by the series' universe. This 360° approach demonstrates the maturity of streetwear as a lifestyle segment.

Cultural Impact and Secondary Market

The Stranger Things x Nike collection redefined the codes of sneaker marketing by proving that a collaboration could transcend its original media. Limited drops and rarity strategy immediately propelled these models to the secondary market.

Today, these pieces trade well above their initial retail price, testament to their grail status among collectors. The combination of 1980s nostalgia, Nike quality, and Netflix storytelling created a winning formula rarely matched.

The Evolution of Entertainment Resale

This collaboration paved the way for many other partnerships between sportswear brands and entertainment intellectual properties. It also democratized the idea that sneakers could carry complex narratives beyond simple athletic performance.

Stranger Things x Nike Today

Several years after their initial release, the Stranger Things x Nike models continue to attract collectors. Their rarity, combined with the series' continued popularity, maintains their desirability at a high level.

At Geturbrick, we're proud to offer this complete collection, authenticated and in perfect deadstock condition. Each pair available in our catalog represents a unique opportunity to acquire models that have become impossible to find elsewhere.
