This project brings together the technical expertise of the French outdoor specialist and the distinctive aesthetic of Margiela's diffusion line. The mule silhouette, open at the back, transforms the trail profile of the XT-4 towards a distinctly urban and conceptual direction.
The Black Nine Iron colorway plays with a dark and contrasted palette. The deep black of the upper blends with the Nine Iron metallic grey on the structured sole and exterior reinforcements. The synthetic materials typical of Salomon trail shoes bring a dense and technical texture, reinforced by the brand's characteristic elastic lacing. This mule version removes the heel counter and opens up the heel, giving a completely different interpretation of the original silhouette.
This collaboration is part of a series of partnerships between Salomon and fashion houses that reinterpret trail running codes through a fashion and editorial lens.
