The Jordan 1 Mid Wear-Away Chicago is a direct reinterpretation of the original Chicago colorway, the one Michael Jordan wore starting in 1985. The "Wear-Away" concept plays on a striking visual idea: the black stitching and overlays gradually fade away to reveal contrasting red underneath, simulating the natural wear of leather. An approach that pays homage to the Jordan Brand's past while adding a fresh take on the model.
The construction is built on a white leather upper, enhanced with black overlays whose surface lets the characteristic red of the Chicago colorway show through. This red, white, and black tricolor remains one of the most recognizable in Air Jordan 1 Mid history.
