This model draws its DNA from the GEL-EXTREME™ from 1989, a late 80s basketball shoe, reinterpreted through the lens of Shigen culture, a Japanese term designating natural resources.
The silhouette features the massive lines and layered overlays characteristic of 80-90s basketball. Materials are combined in multiple structured layers, with a textured finish reminiscent of performance sneakers from that era. The Gel-NYC collection it's part of cultivates this heritage between sports archive and contemporary sensibility.
