The name "Natsukashii" — a Japanese term evoking nostalgia — reflects the intention behind this project: revisiting the heritage of the Gel-Kayano, a silhouette originally developed for marathon running. The dual GEL™ technology and FLUIDRIDE™ cushioning structure form the technical foundation of this model.
The "Glacier Grey" colorway plays with cool and desaturated tones, with glacial greys dressing the entire upper. The layered materials — technical mesh and synthetic overlays — create a subdued and refined visual depth. This chromatic treatment echoes the Gel-Kayano 14 White Graphite Grey, in a similar monochrome approach.
This collaboration is part of Up There's ongoing work around ASICS running archives, with a contemporary take on technical silhouettes from the 2000s.
