The ASICS Gel-Kayano 12.1 Ronnie Fieg Knicks is the result of a collaboration between ASICS and New York-based designer Ronnie Fieg, a central figure in the global sneaker scene. This project pays homage to the New York Knicks, the iconic NBA franchise of the city, through a reworked version of the Gel-Kayano 12 reimagined as the 12.1.
The colorway centres around the signature Knicks hues: vibrant orange, midnight blue, and grey accents. The upper combines technical mesh overlays and structured suede layering, in keeping with the premium running silhouettes of the Gel-Kayano lineage. The colour contrasts are pronounced, without visual overload.
