ASICS x Needles

Founded in 1949 in Japan, Asics has established itself as one of the world's leading references in sneaker technology. The acronym "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano" (a sound mind in a sound body) perfectly summarizes the philosophy of this Japanese brand that revolutionized the running world before conquering the streets globally.

What sets Asics apart in the streetwear universe is its unique ability to transform cutting-edge technologies into objects of urban desire. The Gel technology patented by the brand, initially developed to absorb impact during running, has become the symbol of a silhouette instantly recognizable. This technical innovation, combined with minimalist and functional Japanese design, has allowed Asics to create models that transcend their sporting function to become true lifestyle icons.

The cultural evolution of Asics is fascinating. Starting from athletic tracks and marathons, the brand gradually conquered American university campuses in the 80s, then the streets of Tokyo in the 90s. Today, wearing Asics means claiming a style that blends Japanese technical heritage with embraced retro aesthetics. Sneakerheads worldwide seek out these models for their premium construction, sophisticated colorways, and exceptional comfort.
